TOURNAMENT INFORMATION

The 2012 WAADGA International Golf Tournament will be contested in two categories - Amputee and Neurological Disabled.

ELIGIBILITY and CONDITIONS.

The R&A Rules of Golf and Amateur Status, including the Modification of the Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities apply to this tournament.

All entrants must be a member of a recognised Australian or International Golf Association and hold an official handicap. Australian players must present their Golf Link card and overseas players must present an official current handicap card issued by his/her Handicapping Authority.

In special circumstances the Tournament Director may allocate a revised handicap.

Entry to the event is at the sole discretion of the Tournament Director.

The use of a golf cart is only permitted with a valid medical certificate.

AMPUTEE GOLFERS

For the purpose of this tournament, an amputee golfer must have lost a major limb with complete loss of a major joint.

Golfers with any other type of amputation will not be eligible.

NEUROLOGICAL AFFECTED GOLFERS

Due to logistical constrains wheelchair dependent golfers are not eligible.

The following categories are eligible to participate:

Motor Neuron Disease

Spinal cord Injury (SCI)

Spina Bifida.

A full description of your disability is a prerequisite for participation in the tournament.

COMPETITION FORMAT

A Division: Handicaps 0 - 10

B Division: Handicaps 11 - 18

C Division: Handicaps 19 - 36

TOURNAMENT SCHEDULE:

Sunday 19 August 2012 - Arrive in Margaret River from Perth for international and interstate competitors. (see Transport Link)

Monday 20 August - Registration and Corporate/Sponsors Golf Day Ambrose Event and Welcome Function at Margaret River Golf Club.

Tuesday 21 August - First round of competition.

Wednesday 22 August - Second round of competition.

Thursday 23 August - Rest day for competitors. Scenic and Wine Tasting Tour for competitors and guests.

Friday 24 August - Final round of competition and Presentation Function at Watershed Premium Wines Estate.

Saturday 25 August - Depart Margaret River.

Entrance Fee: AUS $ 250.00 per competitor and includes:

3 Rounds of competition golf.

Monday Corporate/Sponsors Golf Day plus Welcome Function.

Friday Presentation Dinner at Watershed Premium Wines Estate.

Scenic and Wine Tasting Tour for competitors and guests on the rest day @ $50.00 per person. Incudes 3 Wineries (including lunch) and a coastal scenic tour to Hamelin Bay and Augusta.
