INAUGURAL WAADGA INTERNATIONAL GOLF OPEN 2012 TO BE HELD AT MARGARET RIVER - WESTERN AUSTRALIA. WAADGA is proud to announce its inaugural International Golf Open for Amputees and Spinal Disabled golfers at the Margaret River Golf Club from 20 August to 24 August 2012. This event promises to be more than just a golf tournament. It is the perfect opportunity to experience the beauty and hospitality of Western Australia and in particular the iconic destination of Margaret River. Explore the dedicated tournament website and fall in love with Margaret River and the magical South West corner of Australia where two great oceans meet. A Modification of the Rules of Golf for Golfers with Disabilities This publication contains advice and permissible modifications to the Rules and they provide a means by which disabled golfers may play equitably with able-bodied golfers or golfers with other types of disabilities. “Study the rules so that you won't beat yourself by not knowing something.”
The trend of golfing rules and custom…….is toward elaborate niceness; we repress our coughs while others are swinging, we join in the hopeless hunt for another’s lost ball, and on the green we avoid stepping in another’s putting lines in a veritable Morris dance of exaggerated courtesy.
